Hi, I'm Melody!

I'm also known as Birdisjell! I'm an animator/illustrator who specializes in 2D animation, character design, and concept art. I have a passion for exploring emotions and the depths of character motivations and relationships in my storytelling. My goal is to create connection and understanding between people with the artwork that I make, and the narratives that I write.

I have always been fascinated by the ability of art in motion to inspire people, and I love the great diversity of beauty that can come from animation. Everything about the process has always moved me as a creative, and I strive to deliver the same kind of inspiration that drives my purpose as an artist.

I've studied at Pacific Union College in Northern California and graduacted with a BFA in Fine Art and BA in Film. I'm currently working on online collaborative projects, and creating my own independent work. My main project right now is "The Bard of the Mountain Valley," a 14-minute animated short.
